“There’s a lot of seafood when you look at the ocean,” the old saying goes – but that’s not quite as true as it used to be. Year in fact, says Dotan Bar-Noy, CEO of Israel’s GFA (Grow Fish Anywhere) Advanced Systems, there are fewer fish in the sea with each passing. “Overfishing is a much larger problem than individuals understand, plus in a years that are few many types of sodium water seafood are merely planning to fade away if one thing is not done.”
Bar-Noy and 30 or more others – mostly engineers, marine biologists along with other technical folk – are finding a remedy into the diminishing variety of seafood within the ocean. In line with the work of Israeli scientist Dr. Yossi Tal and Hebrew University professor Jaap van Rijn – creator for the system – GFA has continued to develop an on-land environment where seafood could be raised, and never have to trade water or address it chemically.
“We call this a zero-discharge system,” Bar-Noy informs ISRAEL21c. “We usage filters that are biological especially developed bacteria to take care of water the seafood are growing in, without wasting any such thing. The device may be put up to improve salt-water seafood any place in the globa globe – even into the wilderness, 1000s of kilometers through the ocean,” he asserts.
Fish farms aren’t anything brand brand new. They’ve been with us for decades, allowing growers to create managed surroundings that will guarantee a yield that is specific of, permitting them to guarantee distribution without fretting about dwindling materials into the ocean, air air pollution, poor weather, as well as other facets that are difficult to get a grip on.
